Opinion: After The Million Shillings Award, 23-Year-Old Is Likely To Land Lucrative Deals At Major Companies

Filled with joy and still not believing she could have made it, aged 23 Catherine Njuhi a young inspiring lady from from Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA) emerged the winner of the ‘KBL Still Got Skillz?’ logo design competition.

The ever smiling Ann was filled with joy as she took hom a Ksh 1 million as the cash prize plus an additional a three-month internship at a reputable advertising agency in the nation.

The competition that was launched on the 26th of November 2021 after the company(KBL) saw it of essence to look for young individuals with artistic skills that could interpret a logo that would depict the great things about Kenya.

The art was to cover the cultures, colour, and it's people as the company marks their 100th year since its founding.

After a heavt battle from other contestants, she was awarded the one million cash prize plus a scheduled internship at Scanad, an advertising agency in Nairobi.

Now the good part comes, Scanad is not just an ordinary advertising agency, it's a reputable company that seeks to tell brand stories. The company has risen over the years to own higher standards covering quite good lucrative numbers of advertisement in the country.

They've worked with Safaricom on major projects, the Kenya Tourism Board, KCB Bank Switch TV , Elton John AIDS Foundatio, Kenya Cane, Uber, and EABL.

Considering all this companies are up and running we can be certain for Catherine after the internship she'll have gained the much needed experience to get a spot in one of these companies.
