right hon. Jomo Kenyatta(Johnston Kamau), died on 22nd August 1978.
He was born in 1897. He was a Kenyan anticolonial activist and politician who served as a prime minister from the year 1963 to 1964 and then as the country's first president from 1964 (1 year after independence) to 1978 when he died.
