The Communities living around Mount Kenya have something in common. All speak closely related language, this the language which can be understood by The Agikuyu, Akamba, Ameru and the Aembu. But did you know this communities have an organization called the GEMA? The organization has been there and active but the actual meaning of the letters do not display the communities in order as they exist strecti far from central to eastern where the counties of Meru, Embu and Ukambani region lie.
The first G is occupied by the Community with the majority of the representation that's The Gikuyu. The E stand for the Embu comunity. The M stand for Meru people and community to the far East region boardering isiolo to the end. The A do not stand for Akamba as the last community remaining but was left hanging as the Akamba felt left out and less represented in the founding meeting.
Though some people relate the A for Akamba, some for the GEMA kingpins often replace it with Association. If the Akamba were to agree with the terms of GEMA, then they were scheduled to automatically occupy and complete the gap something which has never happened to date.
