According to the 2019 census, this tribe has a population of 8, 148,670 people and they are the largest Ethnic group in Kenya. The country has had four presidents since Independence, out of the four three presidents belong to the Kikuyu tribe. Our current president Uhuru Kenyatta, his father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, and Mwai Kibaki were all Kikuyu.
According to the 2019 census, Luhuya is the second most populous tribe in Kenya and the population of the Luhya has reached 6,831,842 people thus becoming the second largest Ethnic group. This tribe has some great prominent leaders like Musalia Mudavadi.
This tribe has a population of 6,381,763 people and they are the third most Populous tribe in Kenya. The Kalenjin had prominent leaders and among them are; Our current deputy William Ruto and our longest-serving president Daniel Arab Moi who ruled our nation for 24 good years. He will surely be the heart of all Kenyans since he significantly contributed to the development of our great Kenya.
The Luo is the fourth most Populous tribe in Kenya and they make 10.65% of the Kenyan population. the majority of Luo inhabit Siaya, Migori, and Homabay counties. Our former prime minister Rails Odinga belongs to this tribe.
