According to OC DCI Mtito andei with his team while working on a tip off patrolling within Mtito andei township, they came across one salon motor vehicle registration number KBR 142L make nissan white in colour which had five (5) occupants.
Upon search in the vehicle's boot, one luggage which was in a small box wrapped in polythene bag tied with a green sisal rope ,the following items were found;
1.)cylinder tube silver in colour measuring about 45 cm long connected with two wires
,2.) Two green copper wires ,
3.)Six wires with labels of dangerous explosives and
4.) 3 kg of a white powder.On interrogations the occupants were known as follows:
1.)CYRUS WAMWEA THIONGO aged 52 years driver of the said motor vehicle,
2.)ABDINASSIR HIRSI HAPICHA aged 34 years,
3.)ALI GABABA HAPICHA aged 42 years,
4.)OMAR HALAKE JILLO aged 60 years old and
5.)NO.249445 APC ALI GOLLO BARAQO who claims working with DCI office Maua.
All booked in police custody and exhibits kept for further analysis by the bomb experts.Case handed over to ATPU Mtito Andei.Case Pui.
