Prepare For Long Hours Of Power Blackout On Monday 14th September

The following areas will be experiencing long hours of electricity blackout tomorrow: 

1. NYAMIRA COUNTY

The blackout will be experienced in Keroka Town, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and the following areas will be affected: Keroka Police, Keroka Township, Shell Petrol Station, Rianyoka, Gucha Hospital, Nyamache Tea, Bankers Hotel and Gesusu. 

2. NYERI COUNTY

The power blackout will start from 8:30 to 5:00 pm and the main area under target is Kamwenja TTC. These areas in Kamwenja will be under blackout: Rureraini, Sasini, Kamwenja TTC, Mary Immaculate Hospital, Baraka Children's Home and Kenya Wildlife Service. 

3. EMBU COUNTY

Various parts of Embu County will be experiencing long hours of electricity blackout, in Izaak Walton area, the power blackout will start from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, whereas in Embu CBD and Manyatta areas, the blackout will be experienced from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. In Izaak Walton, these areas will be under blackout: Slopes Hotel, Embu Special School, Embu Level 5 Hospital, Spring Valley, Izaak Walton and Kenya Medical and Training College Embu. In Embu CBD and Manyatta areas, the following places will be affected: Miandari, Mugui, Maciara, Kavutiri Secondary School, Kavutiri, Kiriari Secondary School, Kianjokoma, Muchagori Coffee Factory, Karuriri, Kirigi, Embu Provincial Hospital, Izaak Walton, Embu AP, Kenya Medical and Training College, Liberty Hospital,Koimugo, Kiambuthi, Nthambo Primary School, Embu University, Mutunduri, Kirigi, Manyatta Police, Kigari TTC, Mungania Tea Factory, Thigingi Girls School and Kairuri.

In order to ensure smooth running of businesses, industrial work and other duties that require electricity, the residents should look for other alternatives of power such as solar panel, generators and batteries to supply power to them.
