Love Go Sour As A Man Use His Wife As Baite to Trap Men

A man aged 23 years has survived by a whisker this afternoon at avillage in Shibuli, Kakamega county after a shortlived love encounter that could have almost cost his life. The victim who was identified as Hamisi from Lukoye in the outskirts of Mumias town, met a lady by the name Awino who was selling sim cards at Shianda market few days ago and exchanged contacts so as to keep intouch.

Hamisi coaxed the lady who later invited him to her home assuring him that her parents would be away for the burial ceremony of one of their relatives.

Hamisi went as planned and he was received by a motorbike rider at Shibuli Centre whom Amina had claimed to be her brother and took Hamisi to Awino's home.

"When I arrived, I found Awino taking a nap and she welcome me in the house but I suspected something fishy might happen because Awino's brother was sharpening a machete," Hamisi said.

No sooner had they exchanged pleasantries than a group of armed young men with machetes, rungus and other crude weapons walked into the house. It is then that Hamisi was informed that the boda boda rider was Awino's husband and not the 'brother' , it was a scheme to corner him. It took the intervention of the Awino's brother-in-law to rescue Hamisi as the armed men were baying for his blood. A smart phone and 500 shillings was stollen from Hamisi during the scuffle. It is alleged that Awino's husband has been using her to rob unsuspecting men.
