There was grief and sombre mood at Kobel Village, Konoin constituency in Bomet county after the body of the late Emmy Chepkoech Mitei was laid to rest in peace.
Hundreds of mourners arrived at the home of the late Emmy who was a deputy head teacher at a public primary school in the county.
The late was doused petrol and set ablaze by his husband on 04 October 2022, she was rescued and rushed to Lutein AIC hospital and later refferd to Tenwek Hospital.
Doctors revealed that he suffered 97% of burns which resulted to her death. She left behind several children and her old mother whom she was their Pilar.
His husband was arrested a few days later and detained in cell awaiting to arraigned in court. The officers involved in investigation termed it as a love triangle case and promised to speed up investigations so as justice may be prevailed.
May her soul rest in peace.
