A heavy Police Contingent has been spotted at the famous road heading to the Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga area.
Security has been beefed up in the area after several leaders from Mount Kenya promised to disrupt his ceremony.
Led by Murang'a county governor, Mwangi wa Iria promised to stop the process terming it as unholy.
Anne Waiguru, the kirinyaga governor was also quoted saying that Muturi was not the best candidate for the said position.
Yesterday, Irate youths held a demonstration protesting the idea by some Kikuyu elders crowing the speaker as the regions Spokesperson.
Currently, president Uhuru Kenyatta was the last person named Kikuyu kingpin, some have highly questioned Muturi's ability to represent the region.
Mwangi wa Iria has been named by many in the region as the best candidate for the said position.
During the ceremony, a candidate is supposed to stay clean for 8 days where he should not even bed a woman.
The famous Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga, a ceremony led by the men from Kiama Kia Ma then slaughter a holy lamb as a sacrifice to the gods.
The area is well-known as it is believed by many to be the holy place that was the origin of Kikuyus
The coronation comes at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta comes to an end in several months time, political temperatures are slowly raising as politicians start showing their ambitions
