Mr. Patrick Wanyoike was arrested along side his wife Jacinta Wambugu and Isaac Obunga a clerical Officer in Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).

The three were arrested over and illegal or rather irregular payment of two hundred and fourteen Million Kenya shillings (214 Million).
The Ethic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) alerted Kenyans via their twitter account.

The arrest occurred after the EACC discovered a that the Kenya Ports Authority General Manager was dealing directly with a company that his wife Jacinta Wambugu was in General Manager and his brother was one of the directors of the company.
The clerk Isaack Obunga was also arrested for performing or going ahead with the transaction knowing very well that the company was directly linked to the director and failed to notify the authorities, which made him and part of the irregular payment.
The trio will be presented before the Anti- Corruption Magistrate's Court in Mombasa on Monday 11th 2020.
