It is yet another traumatising act reported in Tharaka Nithi County. A 32-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed his brother to death after a short argument yesterday 24 May at night. The reason for their argument has not yet been established though they are said to have been drunk.
Neighbours are claiming that they had noise coming from the home and later screams. When they rushed to witness what was happening they were welcomed by a pool of blood.
The suspect by the name Onesmus Nyaga allegedly stabbed his brother Ephantus Munene at their home in Kairingo village in Igambang’ombe Sub County on Sunday 24 at around 7:30 pm. After commiting the act, he fled the scene and left his brother dying.
Fred Masinjila the Igambang’ombe Deputy County Commissioner while confirming the incident he informed the press that the two brothers were drunk.
The two brothers had an argument before the accused stabbed the his brother severally on the chest and on the stomach dying on the spot. The suspect Mr Nyaga went into hiding after committing the henious act.
The neighbours informed the police who rushed to the crime scene and took the body of the deceased to Chuka County Referral Hospital mortuary.
The deputy county commissioner have confirmed that police have started the Investigations as well as hunting for the suspect.
Of late such incidents are very common in the county which is blamed on increased consumption of alcohol as well as bhang smoking.
