“We reported the incident at Inuka police station on Monday late but the police officers informed us that since ferries were not in operational it was hard to collect the body on Monday and promised to collect it on Tuesday Tuesday” said Ngina.

She worked in a hotel near Likoni ferry but she had not been going to work since the government enforced curfew over the spread on the corona virus pandemic.

Ngina further revealed that they talked to the deceased mother in Meru County who told them to plan for the burial since they could not travel to Mombasa following inter county travel restriction.
