The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has ordered the arrest of former Kenya Port Authority Managing Director Daniel Manduku. He is alleged to have grafted 244.8 million shillings in over payment to a contractor whose works was not completed.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations started their investigations over the MD over the graft of procuring manufactured concrete barriers at island container depot, Kilindini port and Makongeni Goodshed Yard. It is said that he did this without any procurement plan and also did not have approval from the Financial year of 2028 and 2019.
The DPP said that the evidence gathered had enough proof to arrest the MD.
"I am satisfied that there is sufficient evidence to support charges for various criminal offences against the following persons. I therefore direct that the above suspects be apprehended and arraigned in court to face the charges against them,"

The MD was to be arrested along with his counterpart Juma Fathili Chingulu.
