A standard seven school girl has been arrested for allegedly throwing her new born baby into the bush in Magwagwa ward of Nyamira county.As per to reports,the girl is schooling at Sunshine academy Ekerenyo.
According to the the Daily Nation,the report indicates that the school girl origanated from Bonyakoni village in Itibo ward.On Tuesday morning after the baby has been saved by village elders along Ibencho,The mother of the baby was arrested due to the thourough investigations that were carried out by a section of the DCI officers in Magwagwa police station.
Confirming the incident,the area chief Hon Tom Marag said that the mother wh lo is also a school girl has been arrested and she is under custody at Magwagwa police station station.The suspect is waiting to be taken to Nyamira police station where she will be made to appear before the court to face the full face of the law.
"The girl has been arrested and she is currently under our custody.We strictly condemn this kind of immoral behaviors which have started ruining our community.I urge all the people in our communities to ensure that our girls are safe." Area chief Tom Lamented.
