Update took to Facebook to expose photos of a lactating woman who was forcefully quarantined in a room that has neither mattresses nor beddings in Busia.
The woman is said to have a one-month-old kid.
According to the post, the woman has been sleeping with her kid on a cartoon which is highly risk, predisposing them to pneumonia attack.
"Busia Police have forcefully quarantined a lady and her 1 month old baby. The quarantine facility is reported to have no beds forcing the mother and child to spend on a carton exposing them to a pneumonia attack," reads the post.
Kenyans on Facebook have boldly condemned this act with some venting their dismay.
Let's have a look at their reactions;
"This government is trash.They are using 4million to buy mandazi and tea yet a mother is sleeping on the floor with a baby.I have lost faith in humanity."
"Somebody to share exact place someone nearby can help,i think we should treat this as an emergency."
"This is too serous extremely inhumane..their kids are suspected to clean housing and friendly environment whoever doing this should use his or her brains well... Look at the interests of the younger minor one... Nkt."
"How does police force quarantine,, they dnt have knowledge of medicine,, they can't even test."
I wonder whether the police officers who handled this woman have that original part of a human heart...i fail to understand how...
"There are so many good cops in this country but wengine they act as if there brains were exchanged na matope in kiganjo,"
"May thunderstruck hit the one responsible for this kind of an act and others who are putting this laws without reasoning..."
