The Sisiria member of parliament and his co-accused ms Grace Sarapay Wakhungu have been charged and convinced by the judge over the maize scandal fraud.

Mr. Waluke and Ms. Wakhungu who were represented by several top lawyers including Cliffe Ombeta have been sentenced for 7 years in prison or pay 594 million each for defrauding National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPD) an amount of 313 million.

Even after their lawyers tried their best to defend them in court, the final ruling has not favored them at all hence they are likely to face the seven-year imprisonment.

The final judgment of the two accused leaders has also been highlighted by one of the prominent lawyers in the country, Donald Kipkorir.

According to Mr. Kipkorir through his tweeter handle, he is very certain that Mr. Waluke and Ms. Wakhungu will surely go to prison since the amount which they have been fined each is too much and they are unlikely to raise for their freedom.

Below is Kipkorir's tweet;

According to the City lawyer through his tweet, less than ten companies in Kenya make a profit of more than 500 million and so Waluke and Ms. Wakhungu have no choice but to serve 7 years in Kamiti.
