There was drama at the Administration Police (AP) headquarters in Nairobi after 2 police officers were arrested after conning the Deputy inspector general of police Noor Gabow. The 2 officers who are now ex policemen are said to have presented themselves to the AP human resource department to be reinstated back to their ranks.
According to Kenya.co.ke digital platform, the two are said to have called the personal assistant to Inspector General Gabow while impersonating the Kisii County governor Ongwae and demanded for the immediate reinstatement of Kennedy Ooga Onsongo to the AP senior ranks. The impersonator was later found to be Declarn Odongo who called the DIG's assistant requesting for immediate action of reinstating the ex-police officer.
The scheme was however discovered when the human resource manager called the purported number to seek clarification when it rung inside the office. This raised suspicions from the officers who immediately handcuffed the con men. they were arraigned earlier in the day at a Nairobi court senior principal magistrate Jane Kamau.
