Rowdy residents from Nambuku and Namboboto wards, Funyula Constituency, Busia County staged a peaceful demonstration at Dirakho Vocational Training Center demanding for VTC manager Roselyn Okoit to vacate the institution for alleged theft and accuse of office.
The rowdy residents led by area MCA Vincent Olumbe who assured the public that the VTC manager will be transferred to another institute.
"This madam has really wasted this institution, please VTC director and County CECM for Education Busia county help us and evict this corrupt ‘mama’ to another place, I am tired of her," said Olumbe.
He adds that the school head colluded with board chairman John Murondo together with naughty school security guard to steal 100 bags of cement, barbered wire and some knitting machines.
" The first Person vacate this institute is the security guard , he is corrupt and if we continue being with him here he may end up stealing everything including thermo guns, he must go" the angered MCA said.
They vowed not to allow her back in school.
"This useless manager has looted good amount of money in this institute it is better it runs without her ," said a resident.
Olumbe called in county director of VTC to intervene and give her transfer.
"The county Education leadership should chip in very fast and act with speed to make sure that this rogue school head of transferred and if possible scrapped from teaching fraternity," he said.
Efforts of the press to get her comments were futile as she is hostile and he dismissed calls.
