Ken Ouko Burial: 4 Crucial Things that Would Take Place on Friday During the Ceremony

The University of Nairobi Sociologist lecturer who succumbed to Covid-19 will be given his final send-off on Friday. The lecturer who died while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital will be laid to rest in his rural home in Nyandiwa village in Homa Bay County.

On that final Friday of his days on earth, several things will take place at his Kamuma home.

Number one: Since Ken didn't have a home, a temporary shelter will have to be erected where his body will be placed before being laid to rest.

Number two: His family members who had interacted with him will be isolated during the ceremony to avoid direct contact with the invited guests.

Number three: Only 60 invited guests would be allowed at the ceremony. Other sundry will watch the proceedings online via a link that would be provided for a live feed on Facebook and youtube.

Number four: Only the Health officials from Homa Bay County will be allowed to bury him to avoid the spread of the virus to handlers who are not conversant with the gravity of the illness.
