The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has cautioned Kenyans against the ongoing scam purporting to offer employment opportunities to Kenyans with monthly salary up to Sh76,000. In the statement, KeNHA noted that official notices about vacancies are only published in local dailies and on the agency's website. Interviews are conducted to the shortlisted applicants and the successful candidates are issued with official appointment offer letters. KeNHA authority also stressed that KeNHA does not ask for money for recruitment process. Thus KeNHA is warning Kenyans against falling into traps of scammers seeking to steal their hard earned cash.
KeNHA highlighted fake email sent to a victim informing him that he has received a three year contract for the authority. The email indicated that the victim was to report on 9th May this year, at their head office Baraba Block A, Jomo Kenyatta international airport, opposite KCAA headquarters. According to the e-mail, the victim had to undergo some training costing Sh80,000 tuition charges but the purported hiring notice for only Sh40,000 from applicant.
