Meet Highly Trained Cop Who Is One Of The Most Powerful Female GSU Officers In Kenya

In a male- dominated GSU wing of the National Police Service, Joyce Musoga has shattered glass ceiling by rising to the top echelons of the service.

As one of the pioneer women to be enlisted into the GSU, Musoga has steadily risen from the lowest rank of the service to one of the top most position. Today, she ranks as one of the most powerful female GSU officers in the country.

A teacher by profession, Musoga kicked off her career in the teaching profession at the GSU pre- school. It was then that she developed passion for security job. Not long,she swapped chalk for gun when he became one of the pioneer women to join GSU.

After joining the service, she has never looked back even as she continues to climb the ladder. As a commissioner of Police, she is just a heartbeat away from the Assistant Inspector General of Police rank.

Driven by her desire to learn new things, Musoga has undergone specialized security training in several countries including Botswana, Italy and Australia.

Domestically, she has also been trained in several institutions, including the Kenya School of Government.

A holder of a Diploma in psychology from the Kenya Institute of Social Works and Development, Musoga may one day make history by becoming the first female GSU Commandant in the country.
