A police clearance certificate, also known as a good conduct certificate, is typically submitted during job applications and other places that want to know if you have a criminal past. Applying for the certificate has been simplified, and you may do so from the convenience of your own home or on your phone by following these simple steps.
The first step is to go to the e-citizen online portal and select the directorate of criminal investigation box, which will provide you access to a variety of services.
To continue, you'll need to select the application for a clearance certificate for an adult individual.
You'll be asked a few questions, and all you have to do now is following the steps that will be given to you.
You will next be asked to pay an amount totalling 1080 Kenya Shillings for the service. However, this amount is subject to transaction costs, particularly if you pay by MPESA.
After you've made your payment, look for a box in the top corner that asks you to schedule a time to visit your local Huduma centre for fingerprint services.
You'll find a payment receipt and fingerprint paper on the left side of that page, both of which must be downloaded.
Note: When visiting the Huduma centre, print two copies of the payment receipt and don't forget to bring your original Identification Card.
You'll be done once you've completed all of these steps.
