Communications Authority Of Kenya director Christopher Wambua has been appointed to hold the position of the CEO temporarily before a perfect replacement for Mutua is identified.
Ezekiel Mutua has been linked with claims of irregular salaries in the company which has led to the company's abrupt decision. This has happened barely a day after he cleared out rumours that he was going to impeached by terming the rumours as 'malicious'.
The now ex CEO was not really in good terms with lots of Kenyans for his prevalent action against indecent music and films. The latest one was a complaint that he made against Citizen TV for an indecent scene in their weekly show Tahidi High.
Mr Mutua is also responsible for the banning of some Kenyan hit songs such as Wamlambez and some Kamba folk songs. Those who were against this decisions are now of course celebrating from the look of things.
Some Kenyans had already nicknamed him 'deputy Jesus'.
