The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a government agency responsible for governing and maintaining the standards and practices of metrology in Kenya.
Kenya Bureau of Standards has received information on fraudulent recruitments message circulated through social medias platform falsely purporting to offer jobs.
"A Person purporting to be a KEBS' official using telephone 0789973405 has been calling applicants inviting them for job interviews and asking for Chapter six clearance certificates. We wish to inform the public that the imposter is NOT an employee of KEBS'," the Kenyan Government divulged.
The aims and objectives of KEBS include preparation of standards relating to products, measurements, materials, processes, etc. and their promotion at national, regional and international levels; certification of industrial products; assistance in the production of quality goods; quality inspection of imports at ports of entry; improvement of measurement accuracies and dissemination of information relating to standards.
