Former IEBC Commissioner Appointed to a Lucrative Job

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been conducting elections in the country for the past few years as per the 2010 constitution.

The body has however run into mishaps with the 2017 General Elections and the 2022 General Elections splitting the commissioners.

In 2017, one Commissioner had to flee the country for safety reasons as was stated by her at the time.

Roselyn Akombe came back into the country for the first time in many years a few days ago to a warm reception.

This evening, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from Roselyn Akombe, she has been appointed to serve in a top post.

The Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Commissioner Roselyn Akombe has today landed a top job at the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs in New York City.

Roselyn Akombe on Thursday afternoon said that she was appointed to serve as the new Chief of Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnerships.

We wish her all the best in her new position as the new Chief of Peace building Strategy and Partnerships at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
