Governor Kiraitu Murungi attended the thanksgiving ceremony of Meru Municipal Manager Dr.Silas Mbaabu Muguna who has been conferred with a PhD in Education leadership and management from Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) at his home in Kigumone,Abothuguchi West Imenthi Central.
Murungi said the people should endeavour to embrace and promote education as a way of opening new doors and opportunities for the empowerment of individuals and the society at large.He said members of Meru community who are acquiring high qualifications such as PhD are readying themselves for Service of not only Meru county but the nation and beyond, this avoiding the pressure and competition in the regular job market especially at the county level.
The governor said as a PhD holder Dr.Muguna does not need lobbying for promotions at the Meru county government but he could become anything including an ambassador or be appointed to any other capacity to serve the country and beyond.
