This has seen many young women, especially, go to the gulf nations to work as domestic workers under dilapidated condition so that they can send money back home for their families.
One lady, by the name of Serah Nazi Kazungu, has been stuck in Iraq for the past few weeks after her employer returned her back to her agent sick.
According to Haki Africa, Kazungu was forced to work as a domestic worker in three homes of sisters before she would later on go to her employer's salon.
Thee 24 year old has been sick since February of 2022 and has not received any medical attention since then.
Her agents are asking for 1,500 United States Dollars or 172,000 Kenya shillings before she can be repatriated back home to Kenya.
Haki Africa has called on the government to intervene and help bring Kazungu back home safely.
