Dr. Roselyn Akombe, a former commissioner of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has found a new, lucrative position.
Dr. Akombe recently returned to Kenya, years after she left the country following the general election of 2017. On social media, she announced her new position.
At the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UNDPPA), she has been given the position of Chief of Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnerships.
Her office is in New York City, which is in the United States.
"Grateful for the appointment to serve as Chief of Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnerships at @UNDPPA" is Dr. Akombe's prayer for the position. "Love this beautiful view of New York City from my office, despite the cloudy and cold weather." Always expressing gratitude to God for his blessings," she remarked.
It is important to note that Dr. Akombe fled to the United States following the contentious presidential elections of 2017, which the Office of the Chief Justice declared invalid.
She recently returned to Kenya, but it appears that her time there was brief.
