Former KTN News anchor Michael G Gitonga appointed by president William Ruto as the new Secretary of State functions which was formerly known as the Government Spokesperson.
Until his appointment, Michael Gitonga was the Director of Communication in the office of the First Lady Rachel Ruto.
Gitonga assumes the office which was previously occupied by former secretary of state functions Peter Wanjohi.
On his twitter account, after the appointment, Gitongathanked God for giving him a new opportunity in this new year, he also thanked president William Ruto for appointing him to a state job. His gratitude also went to the first lady Rachel Ruto for her great leadership.
The former KTN staff promised to do his duties as a signed by the president with passion, as he prayed to God to help him perform his duties as required.
Michael Gitonga is now the new Secretary for State affairs effective from today 7th January 2023.
