Woman who swindled millions from Job seekers


The Syndicate was operated by Grace Nyamohanga alias Nasra who is a senior sergeant at Lang'ata women Prison.

So far she has swindled over 200 million from innocent Job seekers,in only a period of ten months.


The rogue mafia operates the business by promising jobs in government parastatals and security agencies such as Kenya Defense Forces, National Intelligence service and National Police service.


She was caught in possession of fake offer letters, she has recruited jobseekers from all levels of education and academic disciplines including graduates in Computer science, Mathematics and science in Microbiology.


A woman from Kiambu county was swindled over sh800,000 over a promise for her three children to secure jobs at the National Hospital Insurance Fund,Nairobi Metropolitan services and Kenya ports Authority.


Nasra sent offers of job appointments to the children of the woman to take up their respective positions which allegedly had become vacant.


However when she was asked about the legitimacy of the appointments she became dumbfounded as she called twice to postpone the reporting dates due to Covid 19.


This rose much suspicion and the woman decided to report the case to detectives.


Over 60 jobseekers were offered forged letters inviting them for jobs in Kenya Airports Authority. The victims parted with amounts ranging from Sh 300000 to Sh 400000 depending on education levels.


Detectives have broadened their scope of investigations to money laundering after finding Sh2.4 million fake US dollars in her apartment at Industrial Area.


Nasra is still at large but victims of her calculate schemes are still providing information as to how they were conned.
