The year 2021 has been a year which has seen women rise to the ranks of leadership and had indicated that women can lead and nurture at the same time. Let's have a look at two women who have proven that they are truly capable of leading:
Chief Justice Martha Koome has brought hope to women in this country that if they put in the work, then they can't be limited to anything. She is the first female Chief Justice and the President of the Supreme Court in the country and in East Africa at large. She got this position after a thorough set of interviews were conducted on the candidates who had applied for the same position.
2. PRESIDENT SAMIA SULUHU
Although she was sworn in as President after the death of the then President, the late President John Pombe Magufuli, Samia Suluhu was already holding a high position in Tanzania by then. She was the first female Vice-President in Tanzania and East Africa. After being sworn in as President, Samia Suluhu became the first female president in Tanzania and in East Africa.
