Tailor your CV, This means that you should not use the same CV for every job application, instead write a different CV tailored to a particular job. Research about the company and highlight your skills and traits that will be suited to that particular job.
Include numbers, when writing about your achievements and success make sure to quantitate them. For example you can say I managed to increase sale upto a certain percentage.
Do not lie, The truth always comes out and the only way to be safe is to not lie. Being caught out on a lie might land you in serious trouble, sometimes even legal trouble.
Your worst traits, we are not perfect and every potential employer knows this. They are therefore always looking for your weaknesses in the CV and if they don't find any, they know you're not honest.
Keep your CV updated, Even when you are not job hunting ensure to include every new career milestone in your CV. If it happens write it before you forget.
