Former Independent electoral and boundaries commission excutive officer Ezra Chiloba Simiyu has landed a lucrative job today as the director general of the communications authority of Kenya. In a press statement for immediate release, the board of directors of the communications authority of Kenya has reached at the decision today and Ezra Chiloba will serve at the capacity for a period of four renewable years.
He takes over from Ms Mercy Wanjau, MBS who has been acting in the position of the director general of the authority. The commission has a mandate to regulate communication services in Kenya including retail and wholesale tariffs of communication services, license services in the communication industry including telecommunications, postal, courier and broadcasting; manage frequency spectrum and facilitate development of e-commerce.
