Kenya Airways to take back former employees

National carrier Kenya airways is recalling some of its former staff that were affected by the covid 19 which led to its restructuring last year. The move was meant to conserve the line against collapsing.

The hiring has been going on in the last two weeks following the demand of air travel passengers especially for local destinations.

The kenya airways had cut its work force last year to survive the covid 19 disturbances, it Also resorted to freezing and unpaid leaves to stabilize its operating costs.

Last month as it's popularly know KQ introduced a larger aircraft to Mombasa. The airline has been upgrading its frequencies to match the rising number of passengers. KQ says the long recovery prospects and diminishing revenue in an environment of of increased costs is due tight health measures.

The management has told those who went home to reapply again as they will be given the first consideration in the hiring exercise.
