A police clearance certificate is a document that is usually used to indicate if you have a criminal record. Most employers will ask for a good conduct certificate before hiring you so that they can determine if you have a criminal history. The application for the certificate can be done on phone with just some few steps to be followed.
Open the ecitizen website and sign in with details of your ID number and password to proceed.
Click on the menu for directorate of criminal investigations and you will be prompted to confirm your sign in details again.
Click on the application menu for a good conduct certificate for an adult and click next to get further instructions.
You will be required to pay 1050 shillings and afterwards you will then be provided with a box for booking your day for fingerprint services.
Choose the place you wish to go for the fingerprint services, the day and the time you wish to be there.
Download and print copies of the payment receipts and the fingerprint form. Ensure to carry your original ID card and its copy when going to the centre you chose during application.
The certificate usually takes about 3 to 4 days of processing and once it is ready, you will receive a notification from ecitizen asking you to print your certificate which will be sent to your account.
