David Ndii, Nanok & Others Appointed To Powerful State Jobs

David Ndii, a well-known economist, chairs the President's Council of Economic Advisors.

The announcement was made by the outgoing Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua on Friday, October 14.

"It is notified that on October 14, His Excellency William Ruto made various appointments to senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President," Kinyua said in a statement distributed to media outlets.

Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary (CS) Felix Koskei will succeed Kinyua as Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff.

Former Turkana governor Josphat Nanok has been named Deputy Chief of Staff.

Former Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge has been appointed as senior advisor and head of physical affairs and budget policy, and Augustine Cheruyoit has been appointed as head of the economic transformation secretariat.

Dr Nancy Laibuni will join the president's Council of Economic Advisors, according to Kinyua.

Katoo Ole Metito, a former Kajiado South MP who was appointed State House Comptroller, is also on the list.

According to an executive order signed by President William Ruto on Friday, David Ndii's docket as Chairperson of the President's Council of Economic Advisors will be under the Office of the President.
