A Change Of Guard At The Kenya Port Authority.

Kenya Port Authority has announced change in leadership.

Ambassador John Mwangemi was appointed as the acting Kenya Ports Authority acting Managing Director.Mwangemi has replaced Eng. Rashid Salim.

Eng. Rashid Salim has retired.Ambassador Mwangemi will be in acting capacity untill a parmanent Managing Director is appointed.

Mwangemi was the Djibouti Ambassador nefore his appointment.

He also served as the Kenyan ambassador to Rwanda.

In March the candidates who had applied for the position of the Managing Director had failed in the interview.

All the candidates failed to get above 70% required threshold in the interview.

Those who applied for the position were Silvester Kasuku who was the former Lamu Port-South Sudan Ethopia-Transport Corridor Chief Executive officer, Mwanamaka Mabruki who was the former Principal Secretary at the Gender Ministry and Murshid Rashid.

Both Mabruki and Rashid scored 67% in the interviews while Silvester Kasuku necame third in the interview by scoring 63%.

All of them did not achieve the 70% threshold.
