The average monthly benefits offered to Members of County Assemblies(MCAs) in Kenya is around Sh500,000
The average cost is established on these legislators’ monthly salary, mileage allowance, airtime bonuses, and expenditures tied to their regional and foreign travels.
They(MCAs) are entitled to a monthly salary of Sh165,000. At the same time there are other allowances; Sh5,000 for airtime, a sitting allowance of Sh5,000 per session, and a mileage allowance of Sh39,800 every month. This is for inter county voyages.
In my opinion, it is these benefits that have made this position one of the most sought by many people. Just imagine getting all these perks every month. It is really good money.
