Hope To Jobless Kenyan Youths As Kazi Mtaani Programme Is Revived.

While speaking to citizens on Wednesday during Madaraka Day 58th celebrations at Wang'uru Stadium in Kirinyaga County, President Uhuru Kenyatta pledged 10 billion shillings for the Kazi Mtaani program to be used in employing young Kenyans. The program, which covers more than 200,000 young people, will be extended to all counties, with priority given to densely populated areas,” Uhuru said.The president noted that this was necessary due to the success of the program and its effect on improving opportunities for young people across the country. He said the economic rebounds reflected a strong income performance since the end of September 2021. The news initiatives complement the ongoing state interventions that should support the momentum of the recovery, with an expected annual growth rate of 6%, "he said. He further added, "I am pleased to note as Kazi Mtaani, various tax breaks and pea aid programs have resulted in a strong income performance for the country, increasing them by about 26.8%.”The president is eager to improve the lives of young Kenyans, including many are out of work, where the program is part of the measures that will inject an additional 25 billion shillings into the economy and help thousands of young people and young families.
