They say God can't put you in situations that you can't handle and former inmate who is currently a CEO, Teresa Njoroge is a testimony to this. This lady served a jail term and later became CEO.
As reported by a credible source, Kenyans.co.ke CEO and Co-founder of clean start, Teresa back in 2018 authorised an illegal withdrawal.
This happened as she was going with her usual business and a man approached her and requisited her to help him withdraw some cash. This man wanted his money which is reported to be Kenyan shillings 10 million transferred to another bank branch. Teresa saw nothing wrong and authorised the transaction. Her transferring the money landed her in langata women's prison for 8 months.
In one of her interviews, Teresa said that when she was in prison she realised that majority of women were convicted for crimes they never commited.
It is from then that she decided to start her own company, Clean start that its main aim is to empower women who are in prison.
