President Uhuru’s Plan That Will Create Over 10000 Jobs For The Youth

President Uhuru Kenyatta today visited the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Nyeri County. He was there to preside over the launch of the Semi-Conductor Technologies factory.

The factory will manufacture integrated circuits, sensors and other nanotechnology products. This will be an anchor project of DeST-Park. DeST-Park is a famous park in the University of Dedan Kimathi. It’s respected for the creative minds it has produced over the years as well as the facilities it hosts. All these job positions will be held by the youth.

The DeST-Park facility sits on one hundred and seventy seven acres of land. It has been dedicated for the setting up of enterprises. Such include start-ups in food bio-resources value addition, ICTs and technological products on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement.

The factory will also manufacture nanotechnology products like integrated circuits and sensors used in electronic gadgets for the global market.

It is believed that the project will be of great help to many youth who could sell their skills. It won’t be like the past where the country has lost great minds to other nations due to lack of opportunities locally.
