Ezra Chiloba Lands On New Job In Uhuru Government Ahead Of 2022 General Election

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has appointed former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chief executive officer Ezra Chiloba its new director-general, bringing him back to government after three years in the cold.

On Tuesday, the CA board announced that it had appointed Mr Chiloba for a four-year renewable term, following a competitive recruitment process to fill the position left vacant after the retirement of Mr Francis Wangusi

"Mr Chiloba is an arrangement advisor and guideline band together with Chil and Kemp consultancy and a promoter of the High Court of Kenya," CA said in an assertion shipped off newsrooms.

Mr Chiloba holds a college degree in law from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts degree from focal European University in Hungary and a Master of Science certificate in program the board from the University of Oxford. He has a post alumni recognition in law from the Kenya School of Law and furthermore holds an endorsement in blockchain technique from Oxford.

"As another alumni in law, Mr Chiloba began his vocation as a program official with the Center for Minority Rights Development and later joined South Consulting as an exploration and coordination official," the assertion endorsed by CA board administrator Kembi Gitura said

Mr Chiloba's arrangement as CA supervisor is a sweet triumph for the attorney who was pushed out of the IEBC in October 2018 after a turbulent year in charge of the electing commission.

He had to go on leave before the October 26, 2017 recurrent official political race that was challenged by the resistance.
