Former IEBC Commissioner Land A Job In UN

Former IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe has been named head of the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs' Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnerships division (UNDPPA).

Akombe shared the good news on her social media platforms and expressed her appreciation for the new job.

"Grateful for the nomination to serve as Chief of Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnerships at @UNDPPA," read part of Akombe's message.

In her tweet, Akombe disclosed the location of her workplace: New York City.

Even when it's cloudy and frigid outdoors, I appreciate this breathtaking view of New York City from my office. She said, "I'm always grateful for God's blessings."

Akombe formerly worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Africa for two years.

On Wednesday, she thanked the Organization for allowing her the opportunity to work alongside them.

"2 incredible years working with @UNDPAfrica! I'm grateful that you welcomed my A team and I in order for us to reconsider African governance and peacebuilding. I appreciate the opportunity to serve, @HaoliangXu @asakookai @ahunnaeziakonwa I'm prepared to take on @UNDPPA New York once more!" She uttered.
