
The ongoing interviews to pick the best candidate for the position of the chief justice has seen brilliant and wise minds engage the interviewers on interesting debates. Today Justice William Ouko appeared before the panel while senior counsel Fred Ngatia took his turn yesterday.
There is a heated debate among Kenyans over who would take over from the retired former chief justice David Maraga and the acting Chief justice Philomena Mwilu. A mini poll posted by popular blogger, Robert Alai on Twitter elicited mixed reactions over the issue. Alai posted whether who could take the day between Fred Ngatia and Justice Ouko and the over 6000 netizens who voted preferred Justice Ouko Over Ngatia for the top job.

The candidates who are fighting for the top judicial job include senior counsel Fred Ngatia, Justice William Ouko, Mr Philip Murgor, Justice Said Juma, Prof Patricia Mbote, Justice Marete Njagi and Justice Nathews Nderi.
