Mary Nasambu,a 22 year college student at Kitale National Polytechnic had all reasons to smile after Bungoma County Governor H.E.Wycliffe Wangamati gifted her with an artificial limb.Nasambu had to go an amputation procedure after her leg developed a cancerous cell which had to be suppressed before spreading to other body organs.
Her dreams were almost shuttered by the amputation reducing her movements and making her over reliant on her siblings,and friends.The lady recently made a call to well wishers to come to her rescue.After getting the wind of the distress call,Governor Wangamati sent his contribution to the lady which was enough to procure the artificial limb.
The lady is now all smiles after her tribulation found an answer.According to her,her movements have been eased by the artificial limb.She says that her dream to become a Land Surveyor might come true some days in the new future with her new gained physical status.
