Outgoing Gilgil OCS Kipchumba Escorted by Residents Like a King as he Leaves for Murang'a (Photos)

Just a week after penning an emotional letter to residents of Gilgil after his transfer to Murang'a county, former Gilgil OCS Albert Kipchumba has received a kingly escort as he left for Murang'a.

In a number of photos shared online, Kipchumba, who has been described by most residents as the best OCS the region had, was escorted out of his former work station by a good number of Boda boda operators, who described him as a real service man during his time at the station.

The outgoing OCS took his last time in Gilgil taking photos with the jubilant boda-boda riders, who brought nearly brought the busy Nakuru-Naivasha highway to a standstill.

The riders then escorted Kipchumba with their bikes to as far as Naivasha as he left the area.

Last week, Kipchumba wrote an emotional letter thanking his seniors and Gilgil residents who have been instrumental in his careers since his earlier days when he got there from Mandera.

He was transferred to Saba Saba in Murang'a County.

Residents ailed him over his exemplary services at Gilgil police station, urging other officers to emulate him.
