Kisumu county is proud to have another resort ahead of the Africities Summit slated for November 2021.
Calfie Resort which is deemed a perfect example of an excellent resort was officially launched on Saturday December 12,this year. An event graced by Rhumba maestro Johnny Junior, the popular 'Awino' hitmaker and Kisumu's finest mixmaster Deejay Sol Junior.
The owner, Engineer Caleb Ogado said that the move to establish Calfie Resort in the lakeside city followed demands from guests and the market space. He noted that Kisumu City is also growing towards Ahero town in Nyando, saying there was need to put up a special resort to meet every guests demands.
" Due to my vast network most of my friends who are now customers demanded for a special resort like this. And due to city expansion I could not hesitate to put up a resort in this area," said Engineer Ogado.

According to a market survey there's potential in Kisumu, a survey that has seen a number of investors attracted to the lands in the lakeside city of Kisumu.
Calfie Resort which is positioned at Korowe area opposite Abala petrol station along Kisumu-Nairobi Highway is now open to everyone including clients with event functions. The right position of the resort offers cool breeze from the fresh water lake Victoria.

The resort joins the likes of Ciala Resort,Twiga Sanctuary Resort, Enigma Resort and Milimani Holiday Resort that have been in existence for sometimes now. Calfie Resort joins the competition in hospitality industry as Kisumu County Government works around the clock to transform the face of Kisumu City.
