Pauline Njoroge Claims she is Still Board Director at TRA Even After She Was 'Fired' By Balala

Reports have emerged that jubilee blogger Pauline Njoroge is still a board director at Tourism Regulatory Authority, even after her appointment was reportedly evoked by Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.

In a screenshot shared on Facebook, one of her followers questioned her on her appointment to the Tourism Regulatory Authority. Pauline replied that her appointment still stands and that she is the board director at the Tourism Regulatory Authority.

"Oh, the recent appointment? It stands. I am board director at The Tourism Regulatory Authority." She replied.

Pauline Njoroge's appointment was revoked after her past Facebook post resurfaced, showing that she once suggested that the Nairobi National Park should be abolished.

“I am revoking Pauline Njoroge’s appointment as a board member because we have just seen what she had tweeted in the past that Nairobi National Park was useless. The integrity of Nairobi National Park is very important and the government is committed to save Nairobi National Park and any other protected area which is the habitat for our national heritage" Balala was quoted in a press release by the ministry on 8th August 2020.

The star newspaper reported that Najib Balala appointed Standard Group journalist Najma Ismail to the board after revoking Pauline Njoroge is appointment. It is still unclear how she might be in the board up to now.

Looking back, Pauline's revocation was slammed by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. Sonko termed the move by Najib Balala as undemocratic, stating that Pauline has the freedom of speech and opinion. Mike Sonko even went ahead to state that Pauline should take Balala to court. Here is Sonko's past post;

Pauline Probably went to court as adviced by Sonko and had her position back.
