Standard Group journalist Najma Ismail has been appointed to the Tourism Regulatory Authority board as a member.
In a gazette notice dated August 7, 2019, Njoroge was appointed to the board alongside three others to serve for a period of three years.
But shortly after her appointment to the parastatal, her controversial past post on Facebook emerged, with her critics saying she was not the right person for the job.
According to the post by Njoroge, the government should do away with Nairobi National Park as the funds from the conservancy cannot be accounted for, or it is not generate any income at all.
It was that post that sealed her fate as she was hounded out just a day later when Balala revoked her appointment.
While revoking Njoroge's appointment to the board, CS Balala picked on Najma to take over her position.
In a gazette notice dated August 8, 2020, Najma will now join three others in the state Corporation decision making hierarchy.
A seasoned journalist, Najma is one of the longest serving journalists at KTN News. She has in most cases worked on the news desk.
Besides that, Najma is also a good reporter with an interest in gender-related issues and also current affairs.
