President William Samoei Ruto has celebrated his 56th birthday today, it is the first birthday he has celebrated while being the president of Kenya, he became president on 13th September when he was sworn in as the fifth president of Kenya.
While giving his speech, the president said that he was in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA world cup final between France and Argentina, due to the pressure around there, he was forced to place a bet with first lady Mama Rachel Ruto and he finally lost the bet.
The head of state says that he will have to fulfill his promise, when they jetted back to the country, he had an agreement with Rachel Ruto so that the bet price can be translated to planting a million trees. William Ruto asked those who attended the event that they may help him to achieve planting the agreed trees as one way of improving the Kenyan climate.
